The facade is exhausting, isn't it.
All day long, we hide our emotions.
We smooth out our face so our vulnerability don't show.
We smile through our tragedies.
The brave face is so respected.
The world seems to find it impressive.
But what I've learnt is that showing who we are is even more impressive.
Our vulnerabilities connect us, our connections then strengthen us.
And the world?
The world finds it astonishing, when people are their authentic selves.
Drop the mask.
This stunning artwork by Sydney artist Robin Dickinson
whom I've admired for years.
Thank you Robin for your evocative imagery.
